Proximal Aortic Dissection with Cardiac Tamponade

Proximal aortic arch dissection with propagation into the coronary ostia and perforation of the aortic root adventitia into the pericardial sac. This illustration shows two potentially lethal consequences of root dissection: cardiac tamponade and ostial coronary artery dissection/compression.
